HONG KONG | Wan Chai North Redevelopment Project | ~300m | Pro

In the 2017 Policy Address, it was proposed that the three government buildings in Wan Chai North and the Harbour Fire Station would be rebuilt into convention and exhibition facilities, hotels and Grade A office buildings. Recently the Commerce and Economic Development Bureau submitted documents to explain the details of the Wan Chai North redevelopment project. The authorities suggest that after the redevelopment of the site, the future building will have a total of 52 floors, of which 10 floors will be used for convention and exhibition facilities, 27 floors will be used as Grade A office buildings, and the hotel will be located on the highest 15th floor, providing a total of 500 rooms. As for the Harbour Fire Station, the current location of the Navy Mall will be relocated. The Government stated that the target is to start the preliminary works for the reprovisioning of the Harbour Fire Station in 2022, and the Wan Chai North redevelopment project will be carried out after the relevant site is vacated.

The site is right next to the Central Plaza and it will replace the Immigration Department Building, the Revenue Building and the Government Building
